Note: The use of Advanced Colors for multiple summaries is required in the state of Wisconsin.
Note: You should be familiar with syncing a template to HIP Mobile as part of this guide. You can review those steps at <<<Link Placeholder Syncing Template to HIP Mobile>>>

Quick Summary
Before starting this guide, plan out what categories you are looking to create for your summary. Common categories include Repair/Replace, Monitor, Safety Issue and so on. This will make the process quicker and easier for you.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: In HIP Desktop, Open the template you want to apply the Advanced Colors to.
Step 2: In the top left, click Report Settings and then Advanced Colors & Summaries.
Step 3: Check the box to enable Advanced Colors.
Step 4: Check the box to Enable Separate Summaries by Category. The checkbox to enable Advanced Colors for Captions is Optional.
Note: The Black color represents the default Black for Body comments and Red for Summary comments in HIP desktop. DO NOT edit or change the color. Later in the guide, we will go over how to Edit the RED Advanced color if you plan to use it.
Step 5: To add a new Color/Category click the Add button and then select the color you want to add. (Remember that Red is already an option so you do not need to add a red) Once you select the color you want, click Done.
Step 6: Type in the name of the Category you wish to add and click OK.
Step 7: Your new Color/Category will appear in the list. If the word font is difficult to read, you can change it by clicking on the title font icon. Select a new readable font color from the palette and click Save. Repeat steps 5-7 to add as many colors as needed.
Step 8: To edit the default RED summary color, type in a new name in the field on the right. You may Edit the font color settings with the Title Font icon.
Step 9: Once you have finished adding all the Categories/Colors that you need, save your Template and do a full sync of the template to your mobile device. For steps on that procedure, see: <<Link Placeholder Sync Template KBA>>>
Using Advanced Colors and Multiple Summaries
Applying Advanced Colors on HIP Desktop
Step 1: Send a comment to the Summary section of the report.
Step 2: In the Summary comments box, double-click the comment you want to apply your Advanced Color to and then click the drop-down box at the top.
Step 3: Select the Category/Color you would like from the list and click OK. Note: If you want to use your default Red color, you do not have to select it from the drop-down. Sending the comment to the Summary box already sets the default Red.
Step 4: Your Summary Comment will now show as the color you chose in the Summary Comments Box.
Step 5: Generate your report and you will see your Summary is now broken down by Category.
Applying Advanced Colors on HIP Mobile
Note: Be sure you have fully synced your template after saving your changes to Advanced Colors and have created a new inspection file with the updated template.
Step 1: Tap a Damage Panel comment twice to send to the Summary Section of your report. The comment will turn Red by default. Then, click the pencil Icon next to the comment.
Step 2: Click the Drop-Down box and select the Advanced Color you want to apply to the comment. Then Click Save.
Note: The comment will change color inside the edit box, but it will not change color on the comments view page. You will see that a color code for the Advanced Color has been added to the Comment. See Below.
Step 3: Finish your report and upload to the cloud and download to HIP Desktop as normal. In the HIP Desktop view, the color code will be removed and the comments will appear colored in the Summary Comment boxes as shown in the section on Applying Advanced Colors in HIP Desktop.
