Quick Summary / Key Steps
To sync HIP Mobile, you need both HIP Desktop (Windows or Mac) and the HIP Mobile app installed on an Android or iOS device, and a valid HIP Office or HIP Office Lite subscription. This article covers how to sync a template from HIP Desktop to HIP Mobile, and how to sync a completed inspection file from HIP Mobile back to HIP Desktop. If your subscription is inactive, the Cloud Sync icon in HIP Desktop will show as inactive. Renew your subscription to regain access. The HIP Mobile app is designed for use on mobile phones and tablets, enabling you to perform inspections and capture photos on the go, while the HIP Desktop app is used for finalizing and generating full PDF reports.
You can download the HIP Mobile App by going to the app store on your device and searching for Home Inspector Pro Mobile
The HIP Desktop Application can be downloaded and installed by visiting https://hipoffice.homeinspectorpro.com/download.html and logging in with your account credentials. However, if your subscription is inactive, you may receive a message indicating this and preventing you from logging in. To access the download option, ensure that your subscription is active.
To sync a template from HIP Desktop to HIP Mobile, follow these steps:

Step 8: Click the Download button.
Note: If you are redownloading a template after making changes on HIP Desktop a pop up will ask if you would like to replace the template. Click yes.
You should get a message that the Download is complete.

Having trouble syncing HIP Mobile?
Why can't I log in to upload my template?: First verify your credentials are correct by attempting to log in at homeinspectorpro.com. If your login works there but not in the app, the issue may be a license allocation — contact support to confirm your subscription is active. If your license is active but not allocated to your account, you may also encounter login issues. To resolve this:
Verify the status of your license in your account settings.
If the license is inactive, renew or activate it through the appropriate channels.
Allocate the license to your account if it is unassigned.
Once the license is active and allocated, retry logging into the app.
Why am I getting an 'Unexpected end of zlib' error when downloading to PC? Error shows when downloading to PC after clicking blue cloud icon. This typically indicates a poor Internet Connection. Try a different connection or wait until you have a stronger signal.
Missing Download Icon: If the download icon for HIP Desktop is not visible in your account, verify that your subscription is active. Inactive subscriptions prevent access to the download option. Ensure that the license is not only active but also properly allocated to your account, as unallocated licenses can also cause this issue.
Syncing Options Not Visible: Ensure that you are using the HIP Desktop application, as syncing features are not available on the HIP website.
ISN Key or Integration Credentials Issues: Ensure your ISN key or other integration credentials are up-to-date to avoid syncing or integration problems.
Compatibility Issues: Ensure that both the HIP Mobile app and HIP Desktop are updated to their latest versions to avoid syncing or functionality problems.
For all other errors or issues contact support.
