Occasionally, Windows will block the Home Inspector Pro installers from running due to the SmartScreen technology built in to Microsoft Defender.
While the message will say that the application "might put your PC at risk.", this is usually due to the update being a new download, so the SmartScreen technology doesn't recognize the app yet.
To resolve this issue:
- Click on More Info.
- Click Run Anyway.
The update for Home Inspector Pro will now run. You can continue the installation process as normal.
You may also get the following message when downloading the update through Microsoft Edge.
To allow the download to run:
- Click on the ... on the far-right side.
- From the drop-down, select Keep.
- Click Show more.
4. Click Keep anyway.
The update will then be able to run. You may be prompted for additional responses, but they may be along these lines.
