Why is there a DRAFT watermark on my inspector reports?

Learn why a DRAFT watermark appears on inspector reports and how a company owner or administrator can remove it in HIP Office using License Management.

If you are seeing a DRAFT watermark on your reports, it is due to a license permission set on the inspector license. This permission is set per inspector license by a company owner or administrator.

To remove the DRAFT watermark, the company owner or administrator needs to follow these steps:

  1. Log into HIP Office.

  2. Go to Settings and select License Management.

  3. Find the inspector who is seeing DRAFT on their reports and click the License Attributes icon.

  4. On the License Attributes screen, uncheck "Set desktop license to Draft mode" if you no longer want DRAFT to show on reports generated in HIP Desktop.

Note: Some companies or franchises lock Draft mode for their inspectors to ensure reports are uploaded to a third-party service, like ISN. If unchecking this setting does not remove DRAFT from generated reports, please confirm with the company owner or administrator whether the upload condition has been enabled.
