How to Clear Browser History

This article covers how to clear your browser history in the most common web browsers.

Clearing your browser’s cookies, cache, and history may be needed for HIP Office or HIP Lite. This can help resolve issues such as spinning circles, blank pages, login problems, or time-outs across different browsers, devices, or networks.

It is recommended to follow the directions provided by the developer for your browser. Additionally, you can follow the step-by-step instructions provided below for popular browsers.

Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome.

  2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows) or Command + Shift + Delete (Mac) to open the Clear browsing data dialog. Alternatively, click the three vertical dots in the top-right corner, go to Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data.

  3. Select a Time range (e.g., "All time" for a thorough reset).

  4. Check Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.

  5. Uncheck any items you wish to keep (e.g., Browsing history).

  6. Click Clear data.
