This template bundle contains the setup data and PDF form fill template for the updated Florida Wind Mitigation form (OIR-B1-1802) applicable as of April 1, 2026. This template replaces the template that previously shipped with the Home Inspector Pro desktop application.

Template Usage and Field Details
To use the Wind Mitigation template to collect the information for your form, data will be entered in the same way you collect comments in your inspection.
The program looks for fields surrounded by brackets ( [text value] ) to match to the fields on the PDF form.

Signatures
The electronic signatures for the form can be defined in the Home Inspector Pro program, or collected on site with customers.
Inspector Signature: Report Settings > Inspector Signature menu. This value can be manually added, or loaded from an existing file, or imported from your Home Inspector Pro profile.
Inspector Initials: Report Settings > Inspector Initials menu. This value can be manually added, or loaded from an existing file.
Homeowner Signature: The Homeowner Signature can be collected on site on the Client Info tab. Customers can sign on the screen under the Signature Section.
Florida Wind Mitigation Inspection File for Merging with Your Residential Template
If you would like to add the Wind Mitigation form to your current existing residential inspection templates, you can use the inspection file below.
Note: If you have previously merged the Wind Mitigation form with your regular templates, the definition of some fields have changed with this version of the form. You will want to remove the existing sections from your templates, then import the template again using the new version.
To merge the file with your template:
Save the Florida Wind Mitigation Inspection File to your local computer.
In Home Inspector Pro Desktop, click Open Template, then select the template you would like to add the form to.
Go to File > Import/Merge Another Inspection.
Select the Wind Mitigation 2026 v3.5d.hzf file and click Open.
The Wind Mitigation items will be added under a menu labeled Merged Inspection 1.
Click Edit Template in the button bar.
Double-click on Merged Inspection 1, then rename the menu item with a new name, such as Wind Mitigation.
Click Done.
Save your template by clicking Save Template, then click Save.
If you have previously loaded the template bundle before merging the inspection into your normal template, you will receive a message prompting to overwrite the files. Click to confirm This is the same file as the one inside the Documents Vault for each of the files.
