Converting Templates from InspectIt

This article describes how to retrieve your InspectIt data for conversion to Home Inspector Pro.

The location of your InspectIt data depends on your use of the InspectIt Cloud Service. If you are not using the InspectIt Cloud Service, the data will need to be retrieved from the actual device used for InspectIt. The steps for this will vary depending on the use of Android or iPad/iPhone devices.

Once the file has been retrieved, the file can be emailed to help@homeinspectorpro.com.

Apple iPhone/iPad

Step 1: On the iPad/iPhone mobile device, go to your Mail app.

Step 2: Compose a new email.

Step 3: In the To: field, enter the address of help@homeinspectorpro.com.

Step 4: Enter a Subject of some sort, such as InspectIt Data and your name.

Step 5: Enter some sort of description in the body, such as your name and your phone number.

Step 6: Click to attach a file to the email.

Step 7: Click on the option to Browse.

Step 8: Under Locations, select On My iPhone/iPad/iPod.

Step 9: Click on InspectIt.

Step 10: Select InspectIt.sqlite.

Step 11: Complete your email, then click Send.

Android (10 and Lower)

Step 1: Connect the Android device to the computer using a USB cable.

Step 2: Right-click on the Start Menu and go to File Explorer.

Step 3: Go to the device (likely named with the model name).

Step 4: Go to the Internal Shared Storage.

Step 5: Go to Android folder, then the Data folder.

Step 6: Find the com.inspectit.cloud.android.homereport folder.

Step 7: Go to the Files folder, then the replication folder.

Step 8: Find the ahit.sqlite3 file.

Step 9: Copy the sqllite3 file to the local computer, such as to the Desktop (drag and drop the file to the Desktop).

Step 10: Send this file via email to help@homeinspectorpro.com.

InspectIt Android (11 or Higher)

Step 1: On your Android device, launch the Google Play Store.

Step 2: Search for X-Plore File Manager, then install the app (or click here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lonelycatgames.Xplore&hl=en_US&gl=US).

Step 3: Open the X-Plore File Manager app.

Step 4: Tap on the folder titled Internal Shared Storage.

Step 5: Tap on the folder titled Android.

Step 6: Tap on the folder titled data.

Step 7: You will be prompted to give Special access to Internal Storage. Tap Continue.

Step 8: Tap on the icon at the top to add a new folder (the folder icon with a +).

Step 9: For the Folder Name enter in the name (this is case-sensitive):

com.inspectit.cloud.android.homereport

Step 10: Tap OK.

Step 11: Connect your Android device to the computer via USB.

Step 12: Swipe down from the top of your screen to see your notifications.

Step 13: Tap where it currently says Charging this device via USB.

Step 14: Select File transfer / Android Auto under "Use USB for".

Step 15: On your computer, open File Explorer.

Step 16: Click on your Android device on the right side.

Step 17: On the right side of the screen, double-click on Internal shared storage (the name may vary).

Step 18: Double-click on Android.

Step 19: Double-click on data.

Step 20: Double-click on com.inspectit.cloud.android.homereport.

Step 21: Double-click on files.

Step 22: Double-click on replication.

Step 23: Find the file titled ahit.sqlite3.

Step 24: Drag the ahit.sqlite3 file from the replication folder to the Desktop.

Step 25: Send this file via email to help@homeinspectorpro.com.
