Quick Summary

In Home Inspector Pro, you have the ability to individually add photos or add groups of photos using the batch add feature. Photos should first be saved on the PC that is running your HIP Desktop Software and the inspection you wish to add photos should be opened in the software.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Adding Individual Photos

Step 1: In HIP Desktop, click Photos and then Add/Review Photos.

Step 2: You will see 4 photo boxes and 10 photo tabs to start. To Add a photo to a photo box, click the Add Photo icon. Note: The Top Left Photo Box inside Photo Tab 1 is reserved for the Cover Photo.

Step 3: Select the photo you wish to add from your File Browser and click Open.

Step 4: You can now set the location for where in the report the photo should appear, as well as edit and annotate as needed. Note: Both Dropdown tabs under Location must be set for the photo to appear in the report.

Adding Groups of Photos

Note: Before beginning, be sure to save all the photos you wish to add into their own folder on your PC. Only the Photos you wish to add should be in the folder.

Step 1: In HIP Desktop, click Photos and then Batch Add Photos.

Step 2: Set your desired settings for the batch add and then click Browse and Choose Folder.

Step 3: Choose the folder with the photos you would like to Add from your File Browser and click Select Folder. Note: You will not see the photos in the File Browser as you are choosing the Folder, not the photos themselves.

Step 4: Your Folder will appear as selected in the Batch Add Box. Double-check your desired options and click OK.

Step 5: HIP will begin importing the photos. Once complete, you can set locations, edit, and annotate as needed.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Photo will not add: Check the photo format. HIP is compatible with .jpeg, .png, and .HEIC.

Batch Add Crashes before finishing: Check the Free Space and RAM on the PC. HIP will need space to add the photos.
