How to install HIP Mobile on a phone or tablet

You can install HIP Mobile on any compatible iPhone, iPad, or Android phone or tablet by downloading it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. This article explains how to find and install HIP Mobile, grant the required permissions, and what to do if the app doesn't appear in search results.

Before you begin

HIP Mobile requires an active HIP Office Lite or HIP Office subscription. Trials include HIP Office access. If you don't have an active subscription, you will not be able to log in after installing the app.


How do I install HIP Mobile on my iPhone or iPad?

To install HIP Mobile on an Apple iPhone or iPad, follow these steps:

  1. Open the App Store on your device.

  2. Tap the Search tab and search for Home Inspector Pro Mobile.

  3. Tap the Home Inspector Pro Mobile icon in the results.

  4. Tap the Download button (cloud icon or Get) to begin the installation.

  5. Once installation is complete, tap Open.

  6. When prompted, tap Allow to grant camera access — this is required for taking photos during inspections.

  7. When prompted, tap Allow to grant microphone access — this is required for recording video and using voice-to-text.

  8. Log in with your HIP Office credentials.


How do I install HIP Mobile on an Android phone or tablet?

To install HIP Mobile on an Android device, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your device.

  2. Tap the Search bar and search for Home Inspector Pro Mobile.

  3. Tap the Home Inspector Pro Mobile icon in the results.

  4. Tap Install to begin the download.

  5. Once installation is complete, tap Open.

  6. When prompted, tap Allow to grant camera access — this is required for taking photos during inspections.

  7. When prompted, tap Allow to grant microphone access — this is required for recording video and using voice-to-text.

  8. Log in with your HIP Office credentials.

Why do I need to allow camera and microphone access?

HIP Mobile requires camera access to take inspection photos and microphone access to record videos and use voice-to-text within the app. If you decline either permission during setup, those features will not work. You can re-enable permissions at any time through your device's Settings app.


HIP Mobile doesn't appear in my app store search — what should I do?

If HIP Mobile does not appear in search results or shows as unavailable, this typically means your device's operating system is not compatible with the current version of HIP Mobile. To resolve this:

  • Check that your iOS or Android OS is up to date and try searching again.

  • Confirm you are searching for the full name: Home Inspector Pro Mobile.

  • Try accessing the app directly via the download page at hipoffice.homeinspectorpro.com/download.html.

If your device OS is not compatible, HIP Mobile cannot be installed on that device.
