Quick Notes
Note: The photo is not attached directly to the comment but is linked or referenced by the HIP Software from the location it is saved on your PC. For this reason, it is best practice to save your linked photos in the Home Inspector Pro/Photo Library folder on your PC. This will ease the transition if you move to a new computer in the future.
Note: Photo Comments can only be created for Damage Panels.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: In HIP Desktop, browse to the comment panels in the section and subsection you would like to add a photo comment. Add a new comment to the damage panel or double click a damage panel comment to bring up the comment editor box.
Step 2: Click the Icon on the Toolbar labeled Link Photo.
Step 3: Select the photo you wish to link from your file browser and click Open.
Step 4: Your photo will show as linked to the comment. Click OK. As with any change to comments be sure to save your Template and reupload to mobile as needed.
Step 5: The comment will now have a photo Icon next to it. When the comment is selected and moved to the Body or the Summary box the photo will be automatically added to the report.

This feature is typically used in conjunction with photos of the items from the property to show comparison between a proper setup and the actual setup.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues
When I moved to a new PC, some or all photo links appear to have a broken or missing image icon. This means that HIP cannot find the photo on the new PC. You should copy all of the photos you need from the old PC to the new one. It is best practice to save the Photos in the Home Inspector Pro/Photo Library folder. If you do this, then the photos should be available once copied to the new PC.
